Marc Andreessen says his A.I. When China is mentioned, policy discussions in D.C. are very different.
Marc Andreessen is spending a lot of his time talking with policymakers in Washington, D.C. about artificial intelligence. The Silicon Valley venture capitalist noticed that when it comes to A.I. he could have two different conversations with \”the exact same person\”, depending on whether China was mentioned.
As he said in an episode of the Joe Rogan Experience that was released this week, the first conversation is \”generally characterised by the American Government very much hating tech companies and wanting to harm them in various ways and the tech firms wanting to figure out a way to fix it.\”
Second, there is the conversation about what China intends to do with A.I.
