A vicious cycle between daytime napping and Alzheimer’s Dementia has been discovered

Researchers in Boston have found a ‘vicious circle’ between daytime napping, Alzheimer’s disease and daytime naps.

Researchers from Boston Medical Center have found a link between daytime naps and Alzheimer’s disease.

Researchers at Brigham and Women’s Hospital found that there was a connection between the two. Excessive napping during the day predicted a future increased risk of Alzheimer’s disease, and an Alzheimer’s diagnosis accelerated the increase in napping during the day as people aged.

Researchers have yet to discover the link between daytime napping, cognitive aging and older adults who nap during the day.
