New Academy to Promote Life Extension
In Boston, a group of 16 senior scientists has created an academy to highlight the work being done on human aging. Researchers are working to find ways to reverse or slow it down.
The Academy for Health and Lifespan Research, a nonprofit organization, will organize a series forums where researchers will share their knowledge and research results. This will help improve the flow and quality of information.
The Academy will also lobby governments around the globe to improve funding for ageing research and to help improve the regulatory pathways to make it easier to create therapies that target aging processes to prevent age-related disease.
