A new AI-based tool is promising for accurately identifying lung tumors
The AI model uses radiomics, which is a technique that extracts critical information from medical pictures that aren’t always visible with the naked eye.
A team of scientists, doctors and researchers from Imperial College London and the Institute of Cancer Research, London, as well as the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, have developed an artificial intelligence (AI), model that accurately detects cancer.
This new AI model is said to use radiomics. A technique that extracts important information from medical images, which may not be visible with the naked eye. This helps determine whether abnormal growths found on CT scans can be cancerous.
