42 percent of CEOs think AI may destroy humanity this decade
The majority of CEOs of Fortune 500 companies, representing a wide range of industries, believe that artificial intelligence could destroy humanity. This is despite the fact that business leaders are rushing to embrace the technology.
According to survey results shared by CNN, 42 percent CEOs of 119 companies surveyed at Yale University believe that AI will destroy our species within five to ten year.
CNN reports that while the names of CEOs who shared this belief have not been made public, the group surveyed at Yale’s CEO Summit last week included a diverse range of leaders, including Coca-Cola, Walmart, and other large companies.
