Dr. Tia Rains, Ph.D., is Vice President of Customer Engagement & Strategic Development at Ajinomoto Health & Nutrition North America, Inc. (https://www.ajihealthandnutrition.com/), a division of Japanese food and biotechnology Ajinomoto Corporation (https://www.ajinomoto.com/), which produces seasonings, cooking oils, frozen foods, beverage, sweeteners, amino acids, and pharmaceuticals.

Dr. Rains was most recently the Executive Director of the Egg Nutrition Center.

Before joining ENC Dr. Rains served as the Senior Director for Metabolic Sciences of Biofortis, a contract research organization that specializes in designing and conducting clinical research on behalf of leading food, beverage and supplement companies.

Before that, Dr. Rains has held several positions in the Research & Development Department of Kraft Foods. These included roles in nutrition research, product development and marketing.

Dr. Dr. She is the author of more than forty scientific articles and chapters, and a regular speaker at industry events, universities and health professional meetings.
