AlphaDogfight Competition: AI wins over human fighter pilots

Artificial intelligence can now defeat fighter pilots during aerial combat
Artificial intelligence (AI), which is still advancing, has defeated a fighter pilot in virtual combat simulation.

This result was obtained in the US Army AlphaDogfight Competition, which aimed at demonstrating the feasibility of developing agents that could defeat enemy aircraft during aerial combat.

Eight teams took part in a series tests, and Heron Systems won the final on Thursday after two days of aerial battles using only nose mounted guns.
