Amazon shows interest in AMD AI chips
AMD is a good fit for Amazon’s cloud computing division, which likes to create its services from scratch.
Wall Street responded by dropping the stock price of AMD by 3.5 per cent when it unveiled its artificial intelligence (AI), chip at a keynote in San Francisco, on Tuesday. The lack of a buyer was blamed for this. Amazon, according to Reuters, is now considering the chip for their cloud unit.
Nvidia is the leader in AI models, which are the newest buzzwords in the tech world. Nvidia, once known for producing great graphics cards for gaming, has gained popularity in recent years for its chips that power great AI models.
