Anti-Aging Pills Can Reduce Infections among Elderly

The anti-aging pills that look real are actually fakes

After a study showed that they reduced the number of respiratory infection in elderly people by half, the pills are getting closer to being available on the market.

The drugs: the pills act on a aging-related pathway named TORC1. Joan Mannick, the lead researcher for Novartis and who led this study, said that inhibiting this pathway has \”extended life span\” in all species studied to date (such as mice and worms).

Will humans also live longer? Maybe. It will take some time to determine. What’s known for now is that people over 65 seem to have a stronger immune system when they take these drugs. The elderly who took the drug had a 40 percent reduction in colds and bronchial infection. Approximately 264 people were given the drugs for six weeks, and then tracked over a period of a year.
