Aubrey de Grey, a biomedical geriatrician based in Mountain View (California, USA), is an expert on the aging process. He earned his BA in computer sciences and Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge. His research interests include the characterization and design of interventions that repair or eliminate the self-inflicted molecular and cellular damage that is mammalian ageing. Dr. de Grey has served on the editorial boards and scientific advisory board of many journals and organizations. He is a Fellow of the Gerontological Society of America as well as the American Aging Association. He is an extremely sought-after public speaker, giving 40-50 talks per year to scientific conferences, universities and companies, in fields ranging from life insurance to pharma.
