Dr. Aubrey de Grey, a biomedical geriatrician based in Mountain View, California (USA), is also the Chief Scientist Officer at SENS Research Foundation. This biomedical research charity, which is based in California, funds and performs laboratory research aimed at combating the ageing process. He is also the Editor-in Chief of Rejuvenation, the highest impact peer-reviewed journal in the world focused on interventions for aging. He earned his BA in computer sciences and his Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge. His research interests include the characterisation of the molecular and cell side-effects (\”damage\”) of metabolism that eventually become pathogenic and constitute mammalian ageing, and the design and implementation of interventions that repair or obviate this damage.
