Celebrate Bedford Day to commemorate the first person placed in cryonic suspension.
Dr. James Bedford, the oldest person in Cryostasis at present, is currently Dr. James Bedford.
James Bedford, who was a psychology professor in California at Glendale College and had recently died from cancer, took the first step to regaining his life on Jan. 12, 1968. The professor was the first person to be frozen in liquid nitrogen, at minus 321 degrees Fahrenheit, in cryonic suspension.
