Exclusive: Bill Gates discusses the future of nuclear power, AI
TerraPower, founded in 2008 by Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, will open a new nuclear plant in Kemmerer in Wyoming. The company hopes to revolutionize nuclear energy in the U.S. by opening the plant, which will be the country’s first.
Gates said to ABC News that \”Nuclear power, if done right, can help us achieve our climate goals.\” \”We want to eliminate greenhouse gas emissions, but without increasing the cost or reliability of our electricity system.\”
Gates spoke about the project with ABC News’ chief economics, business and technology correspondent Rebecca Jarvis at a meeting in Kemmerer.
