The study involved 392 participants and presented both ChatGPT responses and human responses. Participants correctly identified the ChatGPT responses and provider responses.
The level of trust varies depending on the complexity and difficulty of the task. Administrative tasks and preventive health care are more trusted than diagnostics and treatment advice.
