Future of religion ChatGPT hosts Church services for hundreds
Artificial Intelligence continues to break new ground. Recently, hundreds of worshippers attended a service at St. Paul’s Church, Furth, Bavaria in Germany, which was entirely conducted by AI. The sermon was presented by ChatGPT, an AI chatbot.
A long queue formed outside the neogothic, 19th century building an hour before service began to see what AI could do.
The sermon of the chatbot focused on themes such as letting go of the past, living in present moment, not being afraid to die and having faith in Jesus Christ. Four different AI avatars led the service and delivered the sermons.
