Yuri Deigin is a serial entrepreneur in biotechnology, a proponent of cryonics, a researcher and evangelist for longevity, and a life-long learning advocate. He is an expert on drug development, venture investments and biotechnology. He is CEO of Youthereum Genetics, and Vice President of Science for Life Extension Research Support Foundation.

Yuri’s previous ventures have raised over $20 million. He has also initiated and supervised 4 clinical trials, several preclinical and even transgenic mouse studies.

Yuri leads a project at Youthereum Genetics that aims to develop an epigenetic rejuvenation therapy. This is because intermittent epigenetic partial reprogramming showed great results in experiments with mice. It extended their life expectancy by 50%.

His goal in life is to reduce human suffering caused by various diseases. This includes terminal age-related illnesses such as Alzheimer’s and cardiovascular diseases. He also wants to eradicate these diseases. He is an activist, speaker, blogger and conveys the suffering caused by these diseases, which take more than 100,000 lives every day. Yuri, a biotech entrepreneur who splits his time between Toronto, Canada and Moscow, is doing his part as he puts together projects that may lead to such therapies.

He is convinced that humanity will one day cure these diseases and wants to speed up that day.

Yuri has been Vice President of Science for Life Extension, a nonprofit foundation, since 2013. Its goal is to popularize the fight against age related diseases. Yuri blogs, gives speeches, writes op eds, and appears on various radio and TV shows to further the cause. Yuri helps the Science for Life Extension Foundation develop and implement social change strategy to raise public awareness of aging as a disease that can be cured. He also works on initiating an intergovernmental dialogue and public hearings to include aging in WHO ICD-11.

Yuri worked as the COO and Managing director of Pharma Bio in Moscow, Russia for nearly 7 years. Yuri worked as Vice President of Business Development for Manus Pharmaceuticals, Toronto, Canada from 2015 to 2017. He raised funding and formed strategic partnerships in order to develop breakthrough peptides aimed at preventing Alzheimer’s disease. He was previously the Vice President of Business Development for Peptos Pharmaceuticals in Moscow.
