This drug combo extends the life and health span of mice
It may seem that aging is the most natural and inevitable thing in life. According to a recent study published in Nature Medicine rejuvenating the body of an older person may be as simple as a kitchen renovation. Instead of removing old cabinets, use a cocktail made from two existing drugs.
The so-called \”senescent\” cells are odd: frail, beaten up, and unable perform their normal roles. They simply refuse to go away. In addition, zombie cells actively release inflammatory chemicals, which damage nearby tissue, and spread the effects of aging.
Scientists have wondered for years how they affect the aging process, but they are extremely rare cells, making up only 8 percent of all the cells in the body.
