Quantum neural networks as a way to better understand quantum processes
Scientists at EPFL show that a few simple quantum machine-learning examples are sufficient for the \”quantum neuron networks\” to learn and predict behavior in quantum systems. This brings us closer to the new era of computing based on quantum systems.
Imagine a future where computers could unravel the mysteries behind quantum mechanics. We would be able to simulate molecule dynamics or study the behavior and complexity of materials.
We are closer to realizing this dream thanks to Professor Zoe Holmes’s pioneering research at EPFL. They worked with researchers from Caltech, Free University of Berlin and Los Alamos National Laboratory to find a way to teach quantum computers how to predict and understand the behavior of quantum systems. Nature Communications published the research.
