The European Union wants signatories of its Code of Practice on Online Disinformation (CoP) to label deepfakes, and other AI generated content. Vera Jourova said yesterday, following a meeting of the more than 40 signatories to Code, that those who have signed up to fight disinformation must implement technology to identify AI content and label it clearly for users.
