George Church is a Robert Winthrop professor of genetics at Harvard Medical School and a professor of Health Sciences and Technology both at Harvard and MIT. Professor Church was a key figure in the Human Genome Project, which began in 1984, and the Personal Genome Project (which started in 2005). He is well-known for his pioneering contributions in chemistry and biology, as well as his groundbreaking contributions to genomics. He has published 580 papers, 143 patents and the book \”Regenesis\”.
