The fear of dying, which is a part of our DNA and helps us survive, is undoubtedly one of the most unpleasant characteristics that we have to deal with. It is not attractive to think that life will end, and that nothingness will follow. This is why man has invented countless ways of avoiding death throughout history.
Immortality is the idea of living forever, or indefinitely without ever having to face death.
Physical and spiritual immortality are the two main definitions of the word. Physical immortality can be conceived of as the eternal existence of the human mind, originating from a physical object such as a computer or brain. Spiritual immortality, in general, is the idea that an individual will continue to exist after their physical death.
