The British regenerative medicine firm Videregen has a mission: to cure chronic disease. Its work to regenerate thymus is aimed at the human immune system. Videregen, based on pioneering work at the Francis Crick Institute believes that its technology has the potential to restore function to the aging immune systems. The company has already been approved to conduct initial clinical trials for its technology on respiratory diseases and is working toward trials of the regenerative technology of thymus within three years.

Longevity technology: The thymus, a small organ but an important one in the immune system, is responsible for the maturation and development of T cells. It is a vital organ in early development. As we age, it declines along with our immune system’s functionality. This decline has been linked to a number of age-related diseases and chronic illnesses. Videregen believes that its technology will help restore the thymus and rejuvenate our immune system. We spoke with Dr Steve Bloor, the CEO of Videregen, to learn more.
