Explore the Potential of AI for Enhancing Assessments of Child Creativity

AI can improve the assessment of children’s creativity
The University of Georgia has released a new study that aims to improve the way we assess children’s creative abilities through human ratings as well as artificial intelligence.

A team at the Mary Frances Early College of Education has developed an AI system to rate more accurately open-ended responses in creativity assessments for elementary school students.

Denis Dumas, associate professor of educational psychologist and study author, said that educational systems also need to have good data about their students to make good decisions. \”Creativity assessment has policy and curriculum relevance. Without assessment data, it is impossible to fully support creativity in school.\”
