Ageing and its effects

The body’s capacity to perform certain functions slowly decreases as it ages. Hallmarks of Aging include an increase in stem cells and senescent cell numbers, but also a decrease in NAD+. This article will discuss a few of the root causes for aging, and their impact on mankind.
Senescent cells
Senescent cells are a major cause of aging. Senescent cells are damaged or aged cells that would normally initiate the self destruction sequence called apoptosis in order to dispose themselves. However, for some strange reason they avoid this process and remain alive.
