Artificial intelligence that is human-aware accelerates science
Can artificial intelligence that is aware of human beings help accelerate science? The authors of this article incorporate human expertise into unsupervised models by training them on cognitively accessible simulated inferences. They show that this improves the models’ predictions of future discoveries and also allows AI to produce high-value alternatives to complement human discoveries.
