Cryonics UK offers Cryonics callout training
My plan is to live forever, or at least for a very long period of time (if societal and natural catastrophes allow). However, I know that many people who are interested in life extension have signed up with cryonics providers as a backup plan, just in case they do not live long enough to experience the rejuvenation revolution.
Many articles have been written explaining how the bodies are stored. These usually include a picture of Dewar flasks cooled with liquid nitrogen, as well as the ethical issues surrounding the process. The journey to the semi final resting place, however, is often forgotten.
Cryonics UK regularly hosts demonstrations and training sessions on cryonics. I attended these sessions to learn how people who have signed up for a program make the transition. There are four key stages to the cryonics process: standby, initial cooling down, perfusion, and transportation.
