Scientists from MIT have created tiny robots with soft bodies that can be controlled by a simple magnetic force. These robots are made from flexible magnetic spirals and can walk, crawl or even swim in response to a magnetic force.

Professor Polina Anikeeva who led the team of researchers responsible for this innovation expressed her excitement. \”This is the very first time that this has been achieved, being able to control the three-dimensional locomotion with a magnetic field in one dimension.\”
