Drug discovery study combines quantum computing with generative AI

Insilico Medicine is a company that specializes in the development of drugs using generative AI. Today, it announced that they combined two technologies in rapid development, quantum computing, and generative AI to discover lead candidates in drug discovery. They also demonstrated successfully how quantum generative adversarial network technology can be used in generative chemistry.
The study, published in the Journal of Chemical Information and Modeling, was led by Insilico’s Taiwan and UAE centers which focus on pioneering and constructing breakthrough methods and engines with rapidly developing technologies–including generative AI and quantum computing –to accelerate drug discovery and development.
Researchers from Hon Hai Research Institute and University of Toronto Acceleration Consortium Director Alan Aspuru Guzik, Ph.D. supported the research.
