Loss of epigenetic data as a cause for mammalian ageing
The aging process is marked by changes to cellular identity and functions over time. This process is triggered by changes in the chromatin factors localization during DNA repair. These changes alter the epigenome, and advance the epigenetic clock. The expression of OSK, a subset Yamanka factor, can reverse the changes and modulate ageing.
