Google’s \”Barkour\” will allow robots to navigate obstacle courses like real dogs
Barkour is a customizable benchmark that can be adapted for larger course areas and different configurations. This is similar to the real dog agility competitions.
Quadrupedal robots have become more impressive in the world of robotics with their tricks and abilities. Due to the lack of standard metrics, it is difficult to compare these robots or evaluate their capabilities.
A team of Google researchers has developed an innovative solution to this problem: Robot obstacle courses based on dog agility competitions. A blog post stated that this new approach known as Barkour aims to create a benchmark in assessing the mobility and agility of quadruped robotics.
