Compounds AP39 AP123 and RT01 can reverse ageing of human cells: Study
The compounds AP39, AP123, and RT01 are designed to deliver small quantities of hydrogen sulphide gas to mitochondria within cells. This helps the damaged or old cells generate the ‘energy needed’ for survival.
The number of senescent (older cells) that have stopped dividing and deteriorated was reduced up to 50% in the samples.
The team identified two splicing factor components — cells that are a part of the cell — which play a major role in determining when and how endothelial senescent cells develop.
