Diets Rich in Nutrients Can Lead to Dysbiosis, and Age-Related Conditions
As more research is done, the role of the gut microbiome in aging becomes increasingly apparent. The gut microbiome is examined in a new publication that reviews all the supporting evidence. It also examines how nutrient-rich foods can promote dysbiosis.
What is the Microbiome?
The microbiome is a diverse community of bacteria, archaea and viruses living in our guts. The intestinal microbiome is 98% made up of four bacterial groups: Firmicutes (Bacteroidetes), Proteobacteria (Proteobacteria), and Actinobacteria.
