Japan, Germany and France send a rover to Phobos on the Martian moon
A team of international explorers led by Japan will soon send a small robotic rover on the Martian Moon of Phobos.

The Japanese-led Mars mission has signed an agreement with Germans and French to build a Phobos rover.

The rover is expected to be carried on Japan’s planned Martian Moons eXploration mission (MMX), and will operate on Phobos’ hostile, low-gravity surfaces.
