Dr. David Sinclair Webinar: Lifespan – Why we age – and why we don’t have to
On the 18th September, as part of the LEAF Longevity Bookclub, and to celebrate Dr. David Sinclair’s new book Lifespan:Why We Age and Why we Don’t Need To, a webinar was held. The new book takes readers on a journey to understand the biology behind why we age. It also highlights the exciting research that is being conducted in laboratories today, which could change the way we approach diseases associated with aging.

Dr. David Sinclair teaches genetics at Harvard Medical School. Time named him \”one of 100 most influential individuals in the world\”, and he was also listed in the top fifty most influential healthcare professionals. He has been a member of the American Federation for Aging Research since its inception and received over 35 awards for research and scientific breakthroughs. Dr. Sinclair’s work has been featured in 60 Minutes and Today, The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times. He enjoys kayaking and hiking with his family in Boston.

We gave the community the chance to contact him directly. Joe Rogan, David Pakman and Utah Public Radio are just a few of the prominent personalities who have interviewed him. Up to 100 people were able to attend the webinar, which was an open event. Dr. Sinclair read some exciting sections from the book and then took part in a Q&A following the reading. The webinar was a great success. Over 90 people joined the call to participate, and many others watched the livestream via our Facebook page. Dr. Sinclair also gave away five copies of his book to lucky attendees. We would like to express our gratitude for the generous offer and for the time he took to host this webinar.
