L.A. County Launches a Tracking Program for People with Dementia and Others Who Wander
Los Angeles County officials have launched a new program to locate missing people who suffer from autism, Alzheimer’s or dementia.
The program called L.A. Found will use bracelets that sheriff’s officers can track through radio frequency. The program will also create a brand new office, located within the Department of Workforce Development, Aging and Community Services, that will coordinate countywide responses when someone goes missing.
At a press conference, county supervisor Janice Hahn said, \”If you are lost, we’ll help you find it.\”
