Cortical Labs, an Australian biotech company, is behind this science-fiction sounding technology. Horizons Ventures led a $10 million round of funding for the company, which was headed by Ka-Shing (94), the richest man in Hong Kong. Other investors included Blackbird Ventures (an Australian venture capital fund), In-Q-Tel (the investment arm of Central Intelligence Agency), U.S. company LifeX Ventures and others.
