Living for 1000 years: Increasing life expectancy beyond 30 years

Chances are, if you live to 30 years you will also likely be alive for 1000 years.

This was written two years ago. So it should be 28 years.

\”Considering how far we have come and how quickly technology improves and will continue to improve, I do not think that there is any doubt in my mind that we will be able to control the aging process in less than thirty years. Even 30 years may be a conservative estimate. Ray Kurzweil said that life expectancy would increase one year per annum by 2030. I won’t be surprised if this is true. The technology won’t be available to everyone as soon as Kurzweil predicts, so 30 years may still be more accurate for the majority of people.

– Norwegian version: Hvis du lever om 30 ar, er det gode sjanser for at du ogsa kan leve om 1000 ar

Sounds unlikely? This is not unlikely at all.

Only by developing advanced technologies, which can manipulate our body down to the molecular and cellular level, will we be able to make people live for 1,000 years or longer. The question is, will humanity develop the required technologies in the next 30 to 40 years? Personal, I’m very confident that we will be able to achieve this.
