The UK’s ‘deeply concerning’ trend of the poor dying 10 years younger than those who are rich is a worrying development.
According to a new study from Imperial College London, the gap between life expectancy for the richest and poorest sections of society is growing in England.
Researchers say that this trend is \”deeply concerning\” and the research was published in Lancet Public Health.
The Wellcome Trust funded study analysed Office for National Statistics (ONS) data on all deaths registered in England between 2001-2016, a total of 6,65 million deaths.
