Meta A.I. says that artificial intelligence is still not as intelligent as a dog. Chief says
Yann LeCunn, Meta’s AI chief, said that current artificial intelligence systems such as ChatGPT are not intelligent enough to compete with humans and they aren’t even as intelligent as dogs. LeCun spoke about the limitations of ChatGPT and other generative AI systems. He said that they were not very intelligent, because they were only trained to understand language.
LeCun, a Meta employee, said that machines will become more intelligent in the future than humans. This should not be viewed as a danger.
Meta’s chief AI said that current artificial intelligence systems, like ChatGPT, are not intelligent enough to compete with humans and are only slightly smarter than dogs. The debate about the dangers of this fast-growing technology continues.
Meta’s AI Chief said that the company is currently working on teaching AI via video rather than only language. This is a more difficult task.
He said that a baby of five months would not be too concerned about an object floating if it was in front of them. A nine-month-old baby, however, would be shocked by this object, realizing that it shouldn’t float.
LeCun stated that we \”have no idea how to replicate this capability with machines today.\” We will not have the same level of intelligence as humans, nor dogs or cats, until we achieve this.
