Microsoft brings Bing Chat on Mobile with Edge Integration and Widget

Microsoft’s Bing Chat now has a widget and deeper Edge mobile integration.

Microsoft announced new updates for its GPT-4 powered Bing Chat just a few days ago, but it is back with some major improvements today. Microsoft has focused its mobile efforts on Edge mobile contextual chat, Bing widgets for iOS and Android and continuous Bing Chat conversations across mobile and desktop. This comes just days after Google rebranded their AI tools for Docs, Gmail and Google Drive as Duet AI.

Microsoft is launching these new features, which are mobile-first, just as it finishes rolling out the new features announced earlier in the month, including restaurant bookings, chat history, image and video responses, and other features. Microsoft launched Bing Chat just over 100 days ago and is showing no sign of slowing its AI announcements.

You can now start a Bing Chat chat on your PC, and continue it on your mobile device. Microsoft gives the example of asking Bing chat to create a new recipe on your PC, and then having it provide you with a replacement on the mobile application when you are at the grocery store because they have run out of a certain ingredient. The rollout will begin today, and all iOS and Android users will have access to the app within the week.
