Microsoft Economist at WEF: ‘We shouldn’t regulate AI until we see meaningful harm’
Microsoft’s Corporate VP and Chief Economist tells the World Economic Forum that AI will be misused by bad actors. However, \”we shouldn’t restrict AI until we see some significant harm.\”

Microsoft’s Michael Schwa said that he would rather not regulate AI until it causes harm, in order to avoid suppressing its potential benefits.

Schwarz said to the WEF panel: \”I’m quite confident that AI will be misused by bad actors. And yes, AI can cause real harm. We have to be extremely careful and vigilant.\”
