Microsoft takes a risk on the Sam Altman-backed Helion project to achieve clean fusion energy by 2028

Microsoft makes a big bet on the Helion-backed by Sam Altman to provide clean fusion energy in 2028

Helion, unlike other companies that promote clean nuclear energy is developing a \”pulsed-non-ignition fusion\” system.

Microsoft Corporation is betting big on Helion, by agreeing that it will purchase the power generated by Helion’s nuclear fusion process. Sam Altman, OpenAI’s CEO and Microsoft’s leader in the AI race, is also backing Helion.

Nuclear fusion promises to generate power without emitting carbon dioxide or generating radioactive waste.
