MitoMouse – Curing Mitochondrial Dysfunction in Mammals
We have launched our MitoMouse fundraising project today on Lifespan.io. This project is designed to reverse the damage caused by aging to mitochondrial DNA, and restore energy production within our cells in order to prevent age-related illness.
The cell’s power stations
The mitochondria are power stations in every cell of our body. They are responsible for converting nutrients that we absorb into energy. They are so effective at this, that they provide 90% of the energy our cells require to survive and function.
