Evelyne Bischof is a professor of Medicine at Shanghai University of Medicine and Health Sciences and was the first vice president of this society. She had previously led educational efforts, with Zhavoronkov, and other colleagues. They co-developed a formal course for doctors on longevity medicine. Bischof announced at the ARDD conference that their course just received accreditation for continuing medical education from the American Medical Association.
Andrea Maier is the inaugural president of the Society. She is an intern medicine specialist at National University of Singapore and is a geriatrician. It’s still not clear to me, according to several experts, whether longevity medicine will be established as an internal medicine sub-discipline or a new medical specialty.
