ChatGPT prompts: PrivateGPT tackles sensitive information
Data privacy vendor launched a tool to reduce the risk of companies accidentally exposing employee and customer data. This is in response to concerns that employees may be entering sensitive data into ChatGPT’s artificial intelligence model.
Private AI’s PrivateGPT platform integrates OpenAI’s chatbot to automatically redact 50+ types personally identifiable information in real-time as users enter ChatGPT questions.
PrivateGPT is a middleman that sits between the user and ChatGPT, removing all the information from the user’s prompts. This includes health data, credit card numbers, contact details, dates of birth and Social Security Numbers. PrivateGPT repopulates PII in the ChatGPT response to make it more seamless for the user, according to a recent statement from Private AI, the creator of PrivateGPT.
