Mehmood KHAN, MD, the Chief Executive Officer of Hevolution Foundation, said that Saudi Arabia’s population was relatively young, but had high rates for age-related diseases such as diabetes and heart disease. We hope that by tackling aging itself, we will be able to reduce the burden of diseases of aging on the Saudi Arabian people and the world. We hope that this pilot program, and the others we are working on, will enable Saudi Arabia’s scientists to play a major role in the global effort to reduce age-related illnesses and conditions that affect the majority of humanity.
