Rapamycin Can Slow Skin Aging
After a certain age, you begin to notice subtle changes. Many people start looking for ways to maintain the youthful appearance for as long as possible. These include lotions and potions, creams and serums, as well as diets and concoctions.
A recent study in Geroscience suggests that rapamycin, an FDA-approved drug used to slow down aging skin, may be useful in the future.
Rapamycin has been shown to slow down aging in mice, flies and worms. However, this study by Drexel University College of Medicine was the first to demonstrate an effect in human tissues. This included reducing wrinkles and sagging skin, as well as improving skin tone.
