A Google engineer turned futurist predicts AI will enable immortality for humans

Ray Kurzweil, a former Google engineer and renowned futurist, has made a bold prediction. Immortality will be within human reach by 2030 with the help of nanorobots. Kurzweil claims that humans may be able to live forever.

Kurzweil has made many accurate predictions, including that a computer would beat humans at chess in 2000. He shared this prediction as part of a YouTube series created by Adagio, a tech vlogger. The 75-year old computer scientist believes that advances in genetics will enable tiny robots to repair any damage, and keep people alive for as long as possible.
