Inhibiting mtDNA in mice reverses skin wrinkles and hair loss
Scientists reversed wrinkles in the skin and hair loss by studying murine mtDNA.
Scientists at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, in what is believed to be a first of its kind, have reversed the two most common signs of aging – wrinkled skin and hair loss – by turning off the gene that causes mitochondrial dysfunction.
