Sam Altman shares an optimistic view on our AI future
Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, has been on a European tour for the last few days. He met with government officials and startups to discuss AI regulation, ChatGPT, and more. Altman’s latest appearance on stage at Station F, Paris, was a chance to answer questions from local entrepreneurs about artificial intelligence and share his thoughts.
Altman met Emmanuel Macron a few days back. Roxanne Varza, Station F’s director, asked Altman about the conversation. The conversation centered mainly on regulation, as expected. Altman stated that the discussion was \”great\” and they discussed how to strike a balance between protecting this technology while letting it thrive.
Then he explained his frenetic travels from country to country. He said that he was on this trip to escape the Bay Area’s tech bubble.
